My primary takeaway from this course will be the power of reflection. The power of taking time to look at moments in your life through a different lens and how that refracting and revising of information can lead to self-discovery.
When thinking of a visualization of that theme, my mind went to a spiral. A spiral because of how it returns to a similar location, but from a different plane after period of travel. It seems to be quite an apt metaphor for reflection. After a recent experience with watercolor painting, I realized it evokes a similar symbolic experience. The way watercolor requires careful layering, but even so the colors bleed. They blend and create new, imperfect colors. So, I created a digital representation of that idea!
Click each circle and choose 4 colors to represent areas of your life:
As you move your cursor around the screen, you view the colored spirals through a refracted lens. Take a moment to think about the corresponding themes in your life are intertwined. Then click on the spot with your cursor, and add a reflection or a thought. Each time you return to the site, the spirals shift and the thoughts reset.
